Product Description:
Solid Oak Newspaper Rack 28" wide, 36" long and 30" high with cutouts
for six newspaper rods.
Materials:
Lumber: All exposed wood shall be Northern Red Oak free from all
detrimental defects and selected in uniform grade and color. Air and
kiln dried to final moisture content of 5 to 6%. This material will then
be allowed to condition a minimum of 30 days before machining.
Cores: All cores are to be Type 1, Grade B,
Class 2 panels and shall have a medium density of 35 to 50 lbs./cubic
foot. All specifications will follow the guidelines outlined by the
National Particle Board Association specification AMST-D-1037-63T.
Veneer: Exposed veneers shall be Grade "A"
plain-sliced Red Oak not less than 1/28" thick. Face veneers shall be
free from splits, patches and detrimental defects.
High pressure laminates: Laminate material
shall be .050" thick and will meet NEMA LD3 standards. Backing sheet not
less than .020" shall be used where appropriate.
Finishing: Three-step process incorporating
oil based stain to specified color, Power Process Opticlear
Pre-Catalyzed 25 degree lacquer sanding sealer and topcoat 30-35 sheen.
All parts sanded between coats.

Holders
Component Specifications:
Solid oak top with ¾" thick by 4" wide rails pocket screwed and glued at
joints.
Solid oak post legs 2¼" by 2¼" with ¼" roundovers
on vertical edges.
Solid oak apron ¾" thick by 3" wide, pocket screwed
and splined into the post legs and reinforced with solid oak corner
blocks.
Solid oak newspaper rod holders are ¾" thick by 2"
wide with six cutouts for rods 3" apart. |
