Product Description:
Rectangular library table 30"
wide, 60" long, 29" high with solid oak edging and legs. Tabletop has
inlayed plastic laminate.
Materials:
Lumber: All
exposed wood shall be Northern Red Oak free from all detrimental defects
and selected in uniform grade and color. Air and kiln dried to final
moisture content of 5 to 6%. This material will then be allowed to
condition a minimum of 30 days before machining.
Cores: All cores
are to be Type 1, Grade B, Class 2 panels and shall have a medium
density of 35 to 50 lbs./cubic foot. All specifications will follow the
guidelines outlined by the National Particle Board Association
specification AMST-D-1037-63T.
Veneer: Exposed
veneers shall be Grade "A" plain-sliced Red Oak not less than 1/28"
thick. Face veneers shall be free from splits, patches and detrimental
defects.
High pressure laminates:
Laminate material shall be .039 to .050" thick and will meet NEMA LD3
standards. Backing sheet not less than .020" shall be used where
appropriate.
Finishing:
Three-step process incorporating oil based stain to specified color
Power Process Opticlear Pre-Catalyzed 25 degree lacquer sanding sealer
and topcoat 30-35 sheen. All parts sanded between coats.

Specifications:
Tabletop shall be 1 1/8" 45 lb. Particleboard
substrate with laminate backer sheet on underside and high-pressure
plastic laminate on the top. Laminate shall match in color and grain
pattern to the stained or natural finish of the solid oak components.
Tabletop shall be banded with a 1¾" x 1¾" solid red oak edge, glued and
blind splined to the substrate, and rounded to a full radius. A 1"
thick, 2 ¼" wide solid oak apron is attached to the underside of the
tabletop.
Legs are 2¼" x 2¼" solid oak. They are attached to
the underside of the tabletop and to the apron. Hardware includes floor
levelers and polished brass leg supports. |
