Product Description:
Library Atlas Stand 30" wide, 30" deep, and 44" high with 5 pull out shelves. Top of atlas stand is angled 10 degrees from front to back.

Materials:

Lumber: All exposed wood shall be Northern Red Oak free from all detrimental defects and selected in uniform grade and color. Air and kiln dried to final moisture content of 5 to 6%. This material will then be allowed to condition a minimum of 30 days before machining.

Cores: All cores are to be Type 1, Grade B, Class 2 panels and shall have a medium density of 35 to 50 lbs./cubic foot.  All specifications will follow the guidelines outlined by the National Particle Board Association specification AMST-D-1037-63T.

Veneer:  Exposed veneers shall be Grade "A" plain-sliced Red Oak not less than 1/28" thick.  Face veneers shall be free from splits, patches and detrimental defects.

High pressure laminates:  Laminate material shall be .039 to .050" thick and will meet NEMA LD3 standards. Backing sheet not less than .020" shall be used where appropriate.

Finishing:  Three-step process incorporating oil based stain to specified color, Power Process Opticlear Pre-Catalyzed 25 degree lacquer sanding sealer and topcoat 30-35 sheen. All parts sanded between coats.

Hardware:  KV8400-24 Drawer Slides.  1 1/8" ¼-20 GI-643-411-081 Levelers. ¼-20 TN106SB8 Leveler Insert

Component Specifications:

Top is ¾" particle board, banded with ¼" solid oak edging and covered with high-pressure laminate. A ½" x ½" book retainer is permanently attached to the top.

Sides and front of atlas stand are ¾" thick oak veneer MDF banded on the vertical edges with ½" solid oak.

Bottom is ¾" oak veneer MDF banded with ¾" x ¾" solid oak edging

Pullout shelves are ¾" thick oak veneer MDF, banded on 2 sides with ¼" thick solid oak edging and faced with a 2" solid oak front. The 5 pullouts are evenly spaced throughout the cabinet interior.

Legs are 2"x 2" solid oak and fastened to 2" wide solid oak rails between the legs.  This assembly is corner braced with solid oak blocking and fastened to the atlas stand bottom with oak cleats and 1¼" x #8 wood screws.
