Product Description:
Solid oak library chair with upholstered seat and backrest with seat height at 17 ½". Special design of sled base allows for tilting chair without danger of tip-over.

Materials: 

Lumber:  All exposed wood shall be Northern Red Oak free from all detrimental defects and selected in uniform grade and color.  Air and kiln dried to final moisture content of 5 to 6%.  This material will then be allowed to condition a minimum of 30 days before machining.  Unexposed chair back lumber is 1¼" thick Soft Maple.

Plywood:  ½" Five Ply B/B Douglas Fir

Finishing:  Three-step process incorporating oil based stain to specified color, Power Process Opticlear Pre-Catalyzed 25 degree lacquer sanding sealer and topcoat 30-35 sheen.  All Parts sanded between coats.

Fabric:  Abrasion Resistance (Wyzenbeek) meets or exceeds 50,000 double rubs (Heavy Duty).  Colorfastness to light meets or exceeds 40 hours, class 5, AATCC-16 standards. Flammability requirements meet or exceed California Technical Bulletin 117, Section E UFAC Class 1.

Foam:  All foam has minimum density of 2.8 with no fillers and meet IFD softness value 25.  Meets California technical bulletin #117.

Hardware:  Confirmat Connector 264.47.236

Component Specifications:

Chair frame is 1" thick solid oak with four corner blocks glued and screwed to the legs. Mortise and tenon joinery is used on all frame members.

Seat is plywood based, curved from side to side and fully upholstered.  Seat is screwed to chair frame and corner blocks.

Backrest is 1¼" solid soft maple, curved and fully upholstered.  Backrest is secured with four decorative Confirmet Connectors.
