What is EMPLOY?

EMPLOY is an employment readiness program designed to provide offenders with unique opportunities both while confined and after release.  By helping offenders acquire valuable trade and job skills, EMPLOY seeks to reduce recidivism and release offenders as employable, productive, and contributing citizens.

Goals

EMPLOY'S main goals are:

1. Help offenders GAIN & MAINTAIN industry employment within a facility learning specific trade skills.
   
2. Offer EXTRA ASSISTANCE with employment planning (interviewing skills, resume, portfolio, etc.)
   
3. Supply JOB LEADS in field of skill and location of release.
   
4. Provide a GENERAL JOB REFERENCE (job verification) to potential employers.
