MINNCOR Industries can be your contract manufacturer. We provide many companies with the ability to manufacture their product with minimal capital and/or startup expense on their part. MINNCOR provides the ability to be a primary manufacturer for your company or can be used to provide additional capacity to your current manufacturing processes. By partnering with MINNCOR you avoid the issues and costs of equipment repair, capital investment, training of equipment operators and equipment idle time.

MINNCOR current operates 18 business units that produce the following MINNCOR products:

What is MINNCOR?
MINNCOR Industries is a self-sufficient division of the Minnesota Department of Corrections. MINNCOR receives no State subsidies, taxpayer dollars or grants. MINNCOR operates under an enterprise fund and must generate revenue to pay for its expenses. MINNCOR follows best practices in business and adheres to GAAP, FASB and GASB guidelines.

MINNCOR employs inmates in its production and services. Inmates are paid for their labor. Monies earned by inmates are subject to a variety of mandatory deductions, depending upon the specific kind of work program and amount of wages earned. Inmates are generally required to pay all federal and state taxes, forfeit a portion of their wages for the cost of their incarceration, provide financial assistance to their dependents, contribute to victim's compensation and/or restitution, and assist in the expense of special inmate programs. Any profits MINNCOR generates through the sale of products and services are used in our EMPLOY program, capital improvements and/or to expand the business.

Who can buy from MINNCOR industries?

Minnesota State Agencies
Any state agency may purchase products directly from MINNCOR without going through a bidding process. Use the State of Minnesota contract for MINNCOR. The State of Minnesota contract number for MINNCOR is 424930. The MAPS vendor number for MINNCOR is 200006496-00

Counties, Cities and Townships, Public Schools
Any government agency in Minnesota or any other state may purchase from MINNCOR in two ways: Buy directly from MINNCOR, using your agency purchase order.

Or through the Cooperative Purchasing Venture, a members-only program that enables participating governmental units to purchase goods and services under contract terms established by the state of Minnesota. Other States, Federal Agencies or Other Counties
MINNCOR may sell to any governmental entity.

Private Companies and Non-Profit Organizations
Private companies and non-profit organizations may purchase from MINNCOR.

Individuals
MINNCOR's product lines are designed for organizational use, however; Minnesota residents may purchase from MINNCOR. MINNCOR may also sell select product lines to individuals outside of Minnesota. Please contact our customer service staff at customer-service@minncor.com for assistance.

What is EMPLOY?
EMPLOY is MINNCOR’s offender employment program. Completely funded by MINNCOR, EMPLOY helps offenders capitalize on their work skills and training and find suitable employment after release. By helping offenders acquire valuable trade and job skills, EMPLOY seeks to reduce recidivism and release offenders as employable, productive, and contributing citizens.
